Joyce comes directly from the vibrant and effervescent city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has studied dance and performance under some of the most prestigious and globally known instructors. Joyce has performed in Brazil in many national productions such as A Chorus Line (Diana) and the Rocky Horror Picture Show (Columbia). Joyce made her international debut as an aerialist and dancer with the famous Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus. Her local credits also include Arabian Nights as a stunt rider and Pirates Adventure as a featured aerialist and soloist. Joyce’s artistic and professional vision has allowed her to bring many shows to life as choreographer for many regional productions such as The Producers, RENT, The Jungle Book, and Once Upon A Mattress.

Joyce is a passionate, experienced and talented dancer and performer, with unparalleled knowledge of a variety of dance and aerial styles and techniques, as well as a thoughtful, caring teacher. She is masterful in bringing out and building upon the strengths and talents of each student, while at the same time encouraging the development of students’ as-yet untapped skills. Joyce views each of her students as individuals, and recognizes the unique abilities of each, and she fosters a sense of community and mutual support among them all.
